This guy walks the talk! The book is really well written and he peppers each chapters with personal anecdotes that relates to the material to keep it a fun read. I have to admit, I often expect self-help books to have little to no substance in them. They typically sound good, but never really help that much. This book, however, is something everyone should read!
The approach the author takes is to zero in on our “blindspots”. These are areas which cause us to struggle in life, but can be addressed—relatively easily, too. I think we’ve all found that we try so hard to grow and improve ourselves, but we can feel something holding us back. This book helps you identify some of these areas.
The blindspots identified are areas such as attitude, exercise, eating, relationships, and more. Each one is approached from the standpoint of laying out the issue, and then the author provides a way to address the matter. To help the reader, there’s even a short (very short and direct) self evaluation at the end of the book which nails down the issue.
In the end, although I would like to pretend that I’m perfect, I found blindspots of my own. One of which I am going to focus in on for the next while to help myself grow and mature.
Thanks for a great book!
Highly recommended for everyone who wants to grow and improve themselves!
